First National Report
The First National Report was submitted to the UNCCD Secretariat in May 2002.
The report, which is a major obligation under this Convention, reviewed:

  • The national situation as it relates to land degradation,
  • efforts at land resources management and
  • the structures and systems (institutional and legal) currently in place which could constitute a platform for mounting an implementation programme
